Agri-Guide Readers! What Floats Your Environmental Boat?

The type of internal dialogue that has percolated in my head for the past year is the stuff that midlife crises are made of, except that I’m not swimming toward kick-the-bucket waters quite yet, thank you very much. To say that I’ve been restless would be a grand understatement…to say that I’ve been trying to identify my purpose in life would be a definitive bull’s eye. One day not too long ago, I finally woke up and realized that growing as a human being and taking active steps to nurture the environment around me would be my noble pursuit – the one that might very well make a lasting impact long after my footprints fade away. At least, I’d like to believe so.

I decided right then and there that I would use my passion for the written word as a means to educate and enlighten eco-minded individuals (or any individuals for that matter) who are curious, concerned or fully motivated enough to embrace the double-g catchphrase. You know what I’m talking about – those two little alliterative words that seemingly embody the global push toward our planet’s restoration. Frankly, I don’t care if people just do it just because it’s trendy or because they really get what it’s all about. As long as they’re actively seeking knowledge, making conscious and responsible lifestyle adjustments and becoming more thoughtful planetary citizens, then the movement is well worth its weight in marketing dollars, whatever it may be called.

The thing is…I really care. I go to sleep wondering, “How can I connect with someone this time around?…” and wake up asking myself the very same question. I spend a great deal of time researching (what I believe to be) interesting, thought-provoking eco-blog topics so that I can transform them into down-home cerebral eats for the Agriculture Guide community at large. I pore over the words and concepts until they gel into a cohesive piece of literature, one that I am proud to attach my name to. My greatest hope is that the audience I attract will be entertained, enlightened and benefit from countless “ah-ha!” moments along the way. Make no mistake — I’m no eco-superstar and I haven’t racked up any greeny-gold stars. I’m just a well-intentioned environmental sympathizer on a mission – to make a difference, one blog post at a time.

It would mean a lot to me if Agriculture Guide readers old and new would take a moment to let me know what kind of eco-subject matter they’d like to learn more about. I’d like to write for you rather than just for me. Consider me your personal environmental scribe, eager to explore whatever topic floats your boat – which means that when you send out a request to me, I’ll get right on it and you can expect a blog post to materialize on your topic of intrigue within the following day. How’s that for personalized reading?!?

How we use “Biomimicry” as eco-project ?, is this possible ?

If yes, are there any examples of it ? It would be nice if you write an article about it, our yummy greeny “nos dame”, queen Eliza”bet”h : )

Oooooo — a worthy challenge, and I accept! I actually had to look this one up on Wikipedia: “Biomimicry is the process of understanding and applying (to human designs) biological principles that underlie the function of biological entities at all levels of organization.” After reading a little more about the topic to gain a better level of understanding, I realize that it relates to Mother Nature’s creatures, their unique adaptations, and how mankind can apply those principles to our own scientific and technological advances. Thank you for the good idea — your wish is my command! :)
