The trend of adding rose essence of rose flavor to the tea has been there for years. But this was not exploited till the twenty first century. The tea rose is the new refreshment drink that is made up of a special variety of tealeaves. They were first introduced in china which then came across sea to various countries.

Generally hybrid plants are used because of the properties that they carry with them. There are various ways to hybrid the plants. One such way is by bonding the stems of the parent plants together thus forming a mixture of two plants. The important character of these plants is that they possess the properties of both the plants. As in this case the tea plant provides the essential refreshment type of effect and the rose plant produces a flavor in the tea. This was the driving idea behind the tea rose.

The question arises when it comes for cultivation of the plants. As this plant is a hybrid this has an advantage over its parent plants as they can tolerate both the kinds of environment and the cultivable conditions. For example, it is not necessary to cultivate the plant on hi lands as like the tea plants where as these can easily grow in normal terrains. This makes it easy for the farmers to cultivate this plant and thus to increase their income from this plant. Also this requires fewer amounts of fertilizers and less effort to cultivate this when compared to that of the tea plants. Also one advantage with this plant is that this also gives an aesthetic appeal to the farm they are cultivated. There are many numbers of such advantages to that of the normal tea plant.

This tea rose can be used in many different ways. For example they can be used as decorative stuffs in the interior of house. They also give a nice rose like smell that can produce a soothing effect. They can be used to make perfumes with rose smell. Some use their petals in tea so that they can get a rose topping for the tea. The tea rose is also used as garlands in many functions. As they contain some tea components, they also have a very good medical value and they are used to make many medicinal products.
