Growing Tomatoes Upside Down

There is no secret method involve in growing the tomatoes up side down. You can just follow five quick steps and after some time, you will have red beautiful rich tomatoes in your garden. To grow the tomatoes you can just use a simple five gallon container or bucket or you can simply use hanging bag. But the five steps that would be discussed later are performed using five gallon bucket.

1. Things required for growing Tomatoes:

  • Pick five gallon moldable bucket with lid
  • Process to cut off a three inch hole
  • Pot the soil or sphagnum and plant food (fertilizers).
  • Newspaper, coffee strains or peat moss.
  • Direction to set aside pail, hook, base, cable

These above mentioned are the equipments that are required to grow the tomatoes. But you have to look for good tomatoes production. You need best quality plants to grow in your garden for fruitful results. There are varieties of the types available in the markets. Most famous are:

  1. Roma
  2. Garden Pearl
  3. Micro Tom
  4. Tumbler
  5. Yellow pigmy
  6. Celebrities and
  7. Basket boy.

2. How to prepare your hanging bucket:

Place the container some where you can cut it finely or take it in your hands and then make three inch holes equally at the end of the bucket. A hole made by handy drill can work better. But the sharp knife can do this functionality for you.

3. Methods to plant the tomatoes:

There are two methods that will help you to prepare your hanging

  1. Place bucket in the direction that can show you the underneath holes with some hold. Now grip the plant in upside down posture at the stem and thread up the roots using hole at the end of the container. Put the newspaper in the region of the opening to not let the soil from falling out.
  2. The second method is bit similar as the first method but it has slightly difference. Place the bucket up side down and rest the news paper at the end of the bucket then load it with the soil. Turn up the bucket and make three equal holes like in the container to the newspaper at the bottom.

4. Time to hang up the container:

As you are done with the tough processes so now you can hang up the bucket. Hang it to some place where there is enough sunshine and where you can easily water it.

5. Day Care:

You have to maintain the soil height up to two inches. So you can change soil by the time if you feel the level is going down. You have to water the plant on daily basis and harvest it up side down as you made the tool.
