One of our readers asked for adding his review about Growing Boxes to Agriculture Guide, his words : Recently my wife and I moved closer to the family in the city. We’ve both worked on farms our entire life but at our age it’s just getting too hard to maintain that style of life. Being a country boy that I am deep down inside ever since we moved into our new apartment the hardest adjustment has been the lack of garden. We’d spend hours in our old one with our lush greens, vibrant flowers and just the orchards of tree’s we used to own but that wasn’t the case anymore. We started looking for smart, affordable solutions we looked around all the local gardening stores and even started looking online. There’s tons of merchandise on these websites but it wasn’t until we found that we knew we found the right fit for us Windowbox.com

The sweet smell of perennials

And I’ll tell you we felt in paradise, just looking over all the different varieties of window boxes. We picked the white ones because they match our buildings light green textures so well, they stand out and look great. We never thought it could be so simple yet so effective. Now every morning when we wake up and open our shady side windows we’re greeted with the sweet smell of my perennials and out on our balcony we’re actually growing carrots. I never thought it would be possible to utilise the space OUTSIDE your apartment so well.

Soil retains moisture for 3-5 days easily

They attach to easily to our window sills and are sturdy. We had a windstorm a couple nights back with lots of rain and fierce winds, some of our flowers are a bit damaged but the box is still sturdily attached. What really got me interested in the window boxes was the fabrication. It was just too well thought out and I couldn’t afford not to buy it. The boxes are very deep and the soil retains moisture for 3-5 days

easily. In fact we went away for a week to visit family and when we got back the flowers were still doing fine, even our carrots which we usually try to keep as moist as possible were completely unharmed. When friends come over they are always surprised to find out that our boxes aren’t wooden but actually made from PVC’s even from close up everyone asks us if it’s wood.

The worst part is not having anymore windows to attach

These window boxes are both visually pleasing, affordable and durable we’ve had ours for almost three months now and not the slightest bit of wear and tear. Thanks to window boxes we feel more at home then ever. The worst part is not having anymore windows to attach them to. When we have guests over they never cease to be amazed at the things that were now growing right in our apartment. We’ve even joked about starting our own farmers market with the vegetables were now growing in our own home. So anyone who’s looking to spruce up their living area, maybe even sell your apartment this is definitely something that gives you a unique selling point.

As for us were just happy we can finally sit on our balcony and be surrounded by greenery, we’ve got our sunflowers, vegetables and vines providing us with shade from the sun. I’d definitely recommend this website and this product to anyone looking to add some green living to their life.
