Many diseases spread through polluted water. But, the importance of water and the health complications it might cause is only understood for the last 150 years. WHO predicts 80 percent of all diseases in developing countries are related to water. Today, most of the infant deaths in undeveloped nations are caused by infections. Because of this, water purification is very important. The pollution of water sources directly threaten the health of nations. Diseases like Amoebiasis, Hepatitis A, various other bacterial and viral infections and parasites might spread through the water system.

Children are very sensitive to lead and other materials. Lead in drinking water might cause physical and intellectual development problems in children and blood pressure complications in adults. Drinking water rich in lead for years causes kidney failures and high blood pressure. Water rich in nitrate might cause serious health issues.

Water, which is the source of life , sadly threatens the health of nations because of pollution. It must always be remembered that water is only beneficial when it’s clean and healthy. The extermination of diseases that spread through water can only be possible by proper water sanitation.
