Introduction on orange:

Orange is a most common name. This is a fruit which is known to all the people of the world. The citrus fruit family largely comprises of the variety of oranges in them. The name of the fruit itself represents the color of the fruit. It is more lustful due to its color of orange. These have a lot of variety compared to their competitors. Uses of orange:

The uses of the orange are almost infinity which is impossible to describe. The skin of the orange peel is scraped using a kitchen grater and zests got are used to enhance other flavours in the dishes. The juice of the fruit is used world wide due to their delicious taste and fragrance. It is used as a substitute for soap. It is also used in perfumery. The wood is used in many applications. This is used as an antiseptic, anti-bilious and as a haemostatic. It is also a sleeping pill.

Cultivated areas:

The cultivation of the orange plant is world wide. The organic orange is one which uses little of pesticides and grows in totally a natural way. The requirements of the organic orange tree are very simple. It finds its origin in the Chinese borders. But to say it exact the origin is in the Southern Asia. But the most production of the oranges comes from the United States itself. The most in it is itself from the state of Florida where the soil perfectly suits the growth of the oranges. The plant is more common in all regions the variety changes from area to area so do their taste. The size of the plant is usually of the length 7.5-15 meters.

Cultivation process:

The cultivation of the orange is simpler than any other trees. The variety which is suitable in our place must be selected. The sapling has to be bought. Like the other citrus plants this also requires a lot of sun. A sunny place has to be chosen and hole has to be dig. The hole must be much deeper than wider.  The sapling is placed and covered. There is a new technique available which is the use of earthworms on the soil. The reason for this is that the soil of the plant growing area must be loose. Fertilizers such as cow dug, dried leaves and animal remains can be used which will serve as good manure. The fertilizers must be provided like 3-4 weeks in a cycle. The low temperatures are not suited for the growth. Below 28 F it is subjected to weakling conditions. The seasons of harvest will change on proportion with the climate and variety.
